Open-Source Ad-Free Music Player

Grovy is what happened when my Spotify free trial ran out and I refused to go back to ads. Instead of paying up or dealing with interruptions every two songs, I figured I’d just… build my own music player. No accounts, no tracking, no upsells — just press play.
It’s completely open source and runs in the browser. No downloads, no sign-ups. You search for a song, it plays. That’s it. I stripped out every piece of friction I could think of because the whole point was: I just want to listen to music.
Under the hood, it pulls music from two sources — the unofficial JioSaavn API and the unofficial YouTube Music API. Between the two, you get access to basically everything — Bollywood, Western, regional, indie, whatever. No premium paywall, no region locks.
Completely ad-free experience with no analytics tracking or data collection. Your listening is yours.
Minimal UI that stays out of your way. No social feeds, no algorithmic clutter — just music.
No account required. Open the app, search from JioSaavn or YouTube Music catalogs, and play — it's that simple.
Fully open-source. Inspect the code, contribute, or fork it and make it your own.
